A Young Girl’s Triumph Over Scoliosis

A Young Girl's Triumph Over Scoliosis

A vibrant 16-year-old from India, began noticing a gradual curve in her spine a year ago. This curvature, along with mild back pain after prolonged standing or walking, was a growing concern for her and her family. Despite seeking advice from multiple orthopedic specialists, they couldn’t find a satisfactory solution for her Scoliosis condition.

As a last resort, her family turned to Dr. Hitesh Garg, a renowned spine surgeon at Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon. Upon thorough examination, Dr. Garg diagnosed her with Lanke Type 3c Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis, a complex spinal deformity. Left untreated, this condition could have led to severe back pain, respiratory problems, and significant cosmetic issues.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Dr. Garg recommended a corrective spinal surgery involving fixation from D4 to L4. The surgery was a success, effectively correcting the spinal curvature and alleviating her pain.

Today, she is back to her normal life, enjoying her hobbies and pursuing her dreams without the burden of a debilitating spinal deformity. Her journey is a testament to the expertise of Dr. Hitesh Garg and the advanced treatment options available at Artemis Hospital.
