Dr. Sumit Kumar works as a consultant in Ortho- Spine department in Artemis Hospital, Gurugram. He holds more than ten years of work experience in field of Orthopaedics and Spine surgery. He is a National Board-certified fellowship trained spine surgeon. He completed his spine training from prestigious Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi was awarded the degree of FNB (Fellowship National Board, Spine Surgery), the only 2 years Spine surgery super-speciality programme which is accredited by NMC (National Medical Council).

He is also the recipient of the prestigious AO Spine fellowship from renowned Indian Spinal Injuries Centre.

He received his training in advanced Endoscopic Spine Surgery and Minimally Invasive Spine surgery (MIS Spine Surgery). under Dr. Chritopher Siepe, Schoen clinic, Munich, Germany

Dr. Sumit did his MBBS from the Government Medical College, Surat and Post graduation in Orthopaedics from Netaji Subhash Chander Bose Medical College, Jabalpur. Subsequently, he completed his DNB in Orthopaedics from National board of examinations. He joined Jaypee Hospital, Noida as an associate consultant in spine surgery and subsequently got promoted to the post of consultant where he got the opportunity to manage various Indian and overseas patients.

He has strong academic interest and has published his research in various national and international peer reviewed journals. He regularly attends variousconferences, live surgery, and cadaveric courses to upgrade his skills. He is a teaching faculty for both Orthopaedics postgraduates and Spine surgery fellows in Artemis Hospital.
